Our reception is open Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 6pm. Phone lines are open 8am to 6pm.
Improving access appointments
From week commencing 1st July 2019 we are offering telephone and face to face appointments for our extended access clinics with our nursing staff, the surgery and reception / telephone are not open and this will remain as 8am for telephone calls and 8.00am for normal surgery.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are our extended access days (Tuesdays & Thursdays at Chestnuts location and Thursdays at Hallgate Surgery)
Both days are available to Hallgate or Chestnuts surgery patients - please ask reception in regards to availability

Registered patient appointments are available at Hallgate Surgery between 7.30am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Use our online booking system to book or cancel an appointment with your GP or nurse online, 24 hours a day. To use the service you’ll need a username and password, available from our Reception team.
Patients with special requirements
All of our occupied consulting rooms are based on the ground floor and are wheelchair accessible. We also have a Hearing Loop.
If you require assistance when visiting the practice, please speak to the Reception staff.
If you want to have someone with you during your appointment then you can request a chaperone. This could be a trained member of our staff or a person of your choosing who is over 18 years old. The clinician will consider whether or not it is appropriate for a relative or friend to act as a chaperone and may ask for a member of staff to also be present. Please let us know before your appointment if you would like a chaperone to be present.
If either the patient or the clinician wishes a chaperone to be present or either is uncomfortable with the choice of chaperone, the appointment may be delayed to a later date when a chaperone or alternative chaperone is available.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
